NASA GEDI Project

We were recently funded on a NASA GEDI grant to better understand how the world's tallest trees (redwoods and tropical trees) are changing due to climate change.  Two unique ecosystems have given rise to some of the tallest trees on the planet - temperate coastal and tropical rainforests.   We will use NASA's GEDI lidar satellite to understand how much carbon they hold and how climate change is affecting them.
