Our main research interest is understanding the impact of climate change on tropical forests.  We specifically study carbon cycling by measuring bottom-up productivity in >50, one ha plots spread throughout South America, Africa and Asia where we measure each component of net primary production, autotrophic and heterotrophic respiration. We also have extensive leaf trait and spectral data at >30 of these plots.
